As of 2023 our club is running round robins. These events are published in the TeamReach app for the SFS Pickleball Club group. Access to the TeamReach events are provided in the new member welcome letter. The results from the round robins are entered into DUPR. The goal is to get ratings for all members in SFS competitive play events. It allows for like skill play and helps players determine which skill level to play in sanctioned tournaments.
LADDERS – Prior to Covid the club ran ladder leagues; they were a great way to get competitive play. Skills ladder had 4 players participate in a match; each player partnered with the other 3 players in 3 games. The ladder season typically ran from early Spring to mid Fall. All skill levels were welcomed; players were ordered from top to bottom by skill level and groups of 4 were made with consecutive players. Players moved up or down in group throughout the season according to their performances in the round robin games. The ladder was a way for newer player to get started with competitive pickleball.
The Challenge Ladder format lets players form teams that they stick with for the duration of the season. Teams are ranked from top to bottom and each team may challenge the teams ranked ahead of them to climb the ladder.
